Spiced Paste - HOT RED PEPPER - 125ml - Cape Treasures
Make a dish that's super-quick and almost impossible to get wrong:
Lightly fry 2 chopped onions in vegetable oil, reduce heat and add 30g Spiced Red Pepper Paste. Stir through and allow to fry lightly for a minute. Add 1 tin of chopped peeled tomatoes. Add vegetables and simmer until the veg are within two minutes of being done. Add pre-cooked protein and warm through. Serve with Bulgar wheat or cous cous, coriander leaves, toasted peanuts or almonds and a squeeze of lemon.

Making a North African inspired salad of carrots, mint, chickpeas and pomegranate? Mix a little Hot Red Pepper Paste into equal quantities of olive oil and lemon juice. Pour over the chick peas and let them rest for a couple of minutes while you prepare the rest of the salad. Then add the chickpeas and the rest of the dressing - enjoy - this salad is such fun!
